Do you struggle with packing your travel makeup bag like I do?! I’ve never been able to fit all the products I want to pack into one bag before. Now that I’ve found a full face of products I enjoy, I can pack less makeup and be even happier with the makeup results.
Be sure to check out the video below, where I talk more about why I like each product so much (and a funny story about when I knew I really loved this setting spray, ha!). If you’ve been liking my video content, I’d love if you subscribed, it’ll really help me out. Thanks, sista friend!
I’ve linked all the products & colors I use in the video description, and I’ll leave them here as well (links may be affiliate, see Disclaimer for details).
I love seeing these types of posts & videos, because I love seeing the staple products that people use every single day, not just the trendy products that come and go. These are all the same products & I’ve using and packing for each trip this summer. I’ll use this nice little key below, so you know exactly which products I’ve been using the longest!
Let’s get into some #MakeupRealTalk, y’all! Most of these items are affordable/from the drugstore, and only the lipsticks and eyeliner are higher end, but they’re worth it!
My (Affordable) Travel Makeup Favorites
*** – Product I’ve been using, loving, & re-purchasing for years
* – Product I’ve found recently, that’s already made it into my travel makeup bag, ‘cause it’s that good
-
Makeup bag (similar)***
-
Pixi x Weylie ‘Let’s Talk Eyes’ Eyeshadow Palette*
- I actually won this palette in a makeup giveaway from my fave chica @ericaligenza from ComingUpRosestheblog.com. I’d been looking for a good travel-size eyeshadow palette, and this one was exactly what I needed. It’s a smaller size, with a mix of mattes and shimmer shades. The neutral colors & buildable formulas (not super pigmented, which I actually prefer for a more natural look) with a variety of shades make this my recent love.
-
Mac Fluidline Gel Eyeliner (in ‘blacktrack’)***
- I’ve been using this little guy forever! I haven’t tried an affordable version of this product because it does last so long and work so well, but I’m sure there’s one out there! I originally tried this during a Mac makeup from homecoming years ago, and it’s the solution to my tiny-eyes-eyeliner problems. This eyeliner is basically waterproof and doesn’t smudge or wear off. I use it with an angled Elf eyeliner brush that was literally $3 lol.
-
Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion***
- I didn’t know I needed this until I did. With the small size of my eyelids (they crease very close to my lash line), my eyeshadow basically always creased and TBH, I thought that was just a simple fact of life and annoyance I’d just have to deal with… yikes!! I bought one bottle of this stuff for $10, I believe, and it’s lasted me forevs. So worth it!
-
Lancome Hypnose Drama Waterproof Mascara (in ‘carbon black’)*
- My mama bought this for me, like I mentioned in the video, but I’m very picky about mascaras and I truly love this one. The Maybelline mascara below has been my favorite forever so it’s saying something when I reach for something else, but this Lancome one is a great higher-end version with a great formula and wand.
-
Maybelline Rocket Volume Mascara (in ‘blackest black’)***
- My favorite mascara for the longest time! I usually keep this one in both waterproof & regular.
-
Maybelline Fit Me Concealer (in ‘fair’)*
-
Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless Powder (in ‘classic ivory’)
-
NYX Matte Bronzer (in ‘medium’)
-
Eco Tools Travel Brushes
- These were a game changer! So much easier to travel with smaller size brushes, and their price can’t be beat!
-
Elf Brush Set
-
Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream (in ‘light medium tint’)***
-
My go-to because foundation and me just do not get along. This has SPF as well, which I love for traveling to protect my skin.
-
-
NYX Matte Setting Spray***
-
Mac Satin Finish lipstick in ‘Faux’
- I also got a Mac makeup for prom, and this is the lip color from that, which is so special to me! I’ve never tried a non-matte lipstick that stays on and wears as well as this one. I usually don’t buy higher end makeup, but this one is totally worth the price.
-
Urban Decay Comfort Matte lipstick in ‘Stark Naked’*
- I’ve been reaching for this more and more lately! I’ve never been one to wear lipstick often (it always felt too fancy for me haha) but I’ve enjoyed wearing this one, and it’s what I’m wearing in most of my YouTube videos so far.
Those are all my affordable makeup favorites, and all these items fit in one makeup bag, along with my makeup sponge & eyeshadow brushes, score! Thanks for reading, have a blessed day!
