Last week my friend Tori (from @pursuing.adventures) headed to one of her fave nature spots near Tallahassee for an impromptu sunset photoshoot. We ended up having much less sun-time than anticipated to get our pictures in, but I still love how they turned out. We wanted to drive a little further down the river to a dock Tori had been to before, but the road was closed from Hurricane damage. We found this other spot near the water and made it work!

Sometimes the spontaneous things in life turn out for the better.
I’ll also include my outfit details (and you can shop any of my outfits here) and some of the funny/candid photos to remind ya it’s not all pretty and put-together all the time. We were hoping to shoot the pictures in normal ‘golden-hour’ daylight, but we ended up having just a few minutes before the sun went down.
But it made for the most amazing rainbow sunset I’ve ever seen.
Moments like that remind me to live in the present and soak up the moment, or ya just might miss something amazing. I’m so glad I got to witness this incredible, albeit unexpected work of God’s art with such a great friend.
