My new Etsy store, Lemon and Lily Co., is officially live! I’ve worked on launching this store for the past month, and I’m so excited to show it off. In the video, I explain why I took a few months off of Etsy and why I completely rebranded. I’m proud of this new little store and this is just the beginning!
WATCH: My New Etsy Store – Lemon + Lily Co.!
During my last semester of college, I posted a video (which I had no idea would quickly become the most-viewed video on my channel) sharing my Etsy tips.
Shortly after I posted that video, I put my Etsy store on ‘vacation mode’ while applying to law school, studying for the LSAT, and completing my bachelor’s degree.
While I was on the break from Etsy selling, the video took off! It was being viewed daily and quickly became my first video to reach 1,000 and then 10,000 views. The comment section was full of hopeful entrepreneurs looking for more information about starting an Etsy store.
The engagement and interaction on the video was huge encouragement in re-thinking my Etsy store. I knew I wanted to sell again eventually, but I wasn’t sure if I’d keep my previous store or totally rebrand.
I spoke to my best friend, Hayden, about wanting to possibly open up shop again or start something new. She encouraged me to rename and rebrand, and I’m so glad I did!
It was time for a change, and quickly after I picked the name ‘Lemon and Lily’, things started moving.
The name Lemon and Lily is inspired by my love of plants (obviously) and all things floral.
I fell in love with lemons and the bright yellow color (very off-brand from my typical blush pink, I know!) during my trip to the Amalfi Coast last summer. The love of lemons stuck with me, and the smell of lemons reminds me of that trip to this day.
Lilies have always been one of my favorite flowers. And for whatever reason, I was obsessed with the name Lily throughout my childhood. (Does anyone else have a name like that they’ve loved forever?!)
I loved the idea of incorporating flowers into the name of the new store, and ‘Lemon and Lily’ was the perfect combo.
If you watch the video, I show you the very first line of Lemon + Lily Co. products available for sale currently. More detailed photos are available on the Etsy store if you want to check them out! By the time you’re reading and watching, I’ve got enough products in the works to double our current listings!
I have lists upon lists of phrases and designs I can’t wait to bring to life through Lemon + Lily.
Each of the first items were inspired by someone or something specific and special in my life. I plan on posting a few ‘story behind the product’ videos on @lemonlilyco IGTV if you’re interested!
Hayden has been a huge help in the making of this store. She helps with everything from product design to social media, and she also runs our Instagram account with me!
Through my three years of blogging, one year of YouTube, and two years of Etsy selling all on my own, it is such a hugehuge blessing and relief to have someone on my team. I’m still learning to delegate and let her help because she is so capable and so willing. I’m so used to doing everything all on my own!
I’m so proud of the progress on Lemon + Lily so far. And there are already more exciting things on the way!
Thank you for your support and excitement over the rebrand and store launch. Thank you for seeing the vision and loving on these products!
And thank you to my dear friends for making this possible and supporting each new endeavor I decide to tackle.
